‘83 Star Chirag Patil Shares A Glimpse of His Character As 'Star Player And His Father - Sandeep Patil' In This New Poster
Chirag Patil, son of Sandeep Patil, will be seen sharing the screen with Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone in Kabir Khan’s upcoming Hindi film ‘83’, by Nadiadwala Grandsons production. This film is a sports drama film based on the real-life historical event ‘The 83 World Cup’. Indian cricket team won the World Cup under the leadership of Kapil Dev in the year 1983. The film is set to release in April 2020.

Sandeep Patil was a star batsman of the team in 1983, his shots against fast bowlers or spinners were his forte. He was also known for his medium-pace bowling. Patil scored 51 not out from just 32 balls against England in the semi-final of the 1983 World Cup thus, paving our way to the trophy into the finals of the tournament. 

The striking similar looks, a natural cricket talent and a talent for acting were few of the reasons why actor Chirag Patil, was roped in to play his father’s role in the film. The character poster is out now and we can’t stop staring at the striking similarity between the father and son. As a matter of fact, Sandeep Patil accepts that the ‘Nakli is as good as Asli’ Sandeep Patil in 83!




Chirag who debuted in acting with TV series ‘Yek Number’ his character Deva made him famous on the small screen. He has also done a few Hindi and Marathi films, but his performance in Marathi film ‘Vajandar’, opposite Sai Tamhankar, directed by Sachin Kundalkar, is worth watching where he plays the character of ‘Omkar’. His role as Sandeep Patil is something fans are eagerly looking forward to
